week before uni

i shall do a "what I did the past week or so" post... well i find it bothersome to put many photos up PLUS write a lengthy post so i shall just do something simple. so here goes.
  • chinese new year reunion dinner (17/2)

Was spent with the family. We had a typical reunion dinner consisting of hotplate and yu sheng! so we got to "lo hei" for the first time in 5 years!

  • horse placement (19-23rd feb)

Some highlights were seeing horses' whiskers getting shaved off.... and their eyebrows too...

Seeing 2 male weanlings (just separated from their mums) start pashing each other and getting very excited by that...

And playing with bomber, the cutest cattle dog puppy ever!

  • korean dinner @ eastwood(21/2)

We had that mainly to celebrate hongyi's trip up to sydney :) great to see she was still her bubbly and squealy-ear-piercing self!

  • tran's birthday (24/2)

Spent half my time there semi-deep frying spring rolls. Never actually appreciated the taste cos i got over deep frying them very quickly

  • ange's birthday @ Pancakes and French Riviera (26/2)

It was David's first time at pancakes so he was pretty excited at all the choices there were!

I had 1 pancake and 2 slices of this pizza...

and due to the fact I'd 3/4 dinner at home before I left the house, was completely stuffed by the end of that

We then proceeded to french riviera and had not one... but 2 of these little babies...

It took kim and rob and tristan to finish it up. What was meant for 13 people was demolished by 3! Service there sucks though... and it's a minimum of one order per person (cheapest thing was a $4 drink)

  • Dinner with a twist! (27/2)

We made the guests eat a 3 course meal with not-so-typical utensils to match each course. First up was drinking soup in a bread bowl with a straw!

Here's their looks of immense concentration...(vincy for some reason that angle turned out weird for you... it doesn't look like you at all!)

Next up was a delightful chicken pie which I must say was delicious! Eaten with chopsticks of course...

We ended the dinner with mousse in a chocolate cup :)

Look at our guests' satisfied faces :) Well andy would've had to been happy... he turned out to be the only guy amongst 7 other girls! poor boy
