fun times :)
This weekend was long compared to the others.... so here's a picture summary... and some thoughts...
Jess's 21st!- lots of dancing till the wee hours of the night (but i was a good girl and headed home at 1230 cos i had work the next morning)

Sat: after work, i caught the train into the city to go to gwenda's house to do our ABLE assignment, but between st leonard's and waverton station, i realised i'd left my boots at work. so the annoying process of getting off at waverton, watching the train going in the other direction arrive and leave at the station, waiting for the next train, walking all the way back to work, collecting my boots then rushing to the station to catch the train down, catching the bus and finally arriving at gwen's place occured...
But lo and behold, a tremendous feast awaited me!

this was the first of 3 dishes she made for me and they were all incredibly yummy so thankyou!
we proceeded to do our assignment for the next 3 hours or so till i had to leave to go for Rubies
Theme? Red
About 20-30 women gathered at Pyrmont to eat, mingle, listen to the guest speaker and be excited about what was in store for this year! ie, the Powderoom (small groups for girls to be encouraged, share things in confidence, learn what it is to be a princess of God)

Missionsfest was also on friday and sunday, and sam donnelly spoke. His heart for the lost can really be seen, and its obvious all the experiences he's had has really changed the way he views life now...
Something to munch on:
What's stopping you from going to missions? Is it 1. First, let me... (finish my degree, get a good job, settle down, travel around the world, save up some money, have some fun etc) or 2. I want my career first... or 3. I'll go when I'm called to (but hasn't Jesus commanded us to go?)
And another thing:
You know how children love to stuff themselves with junk food like soft drinks, candy, chips etc, and then when it comes time for dinner, they're just too full to eat anymore? In the same way, have we filled ourselves up with the "junk food" of this world that we're stuffed and can't fill ourselves up with the good things of heaven anymore? That we're tired and have no more time for God's work anymore?
Just some things that stood out over the weekend.

Sun: the weekend ended off with ... dinner at Temasek! there were 7 of us and we ordered the set menu which was ok i suppose... good value since there was sooo much food... however upon reflecting on the dinner this morning, i realised we probably could've ordered stuff we actually liked and paid less too :S maybe?
ngoh hiong- good!
andy feeling stuffed after eating all that food...
